Title
Titanium implants made via metal injection molding.
Abstract
The article reports on the development of a metal injection molding process that speeds up production and could dramatically reduce the cost of forming high quality-titanium parts by Pacific Northwest National Laboratory in Richland, Washington. The titanium metal injection molding process incorporates a proprietary naphthalene binder. It has titanium hydride powder that minimizes oxygen contamination.
