- Abstract
The article discusses the impact of the program called Franco-American Teachers-in-Training Institute (FATITI) in the preparation for the internationalization of social studies teachers as implemented by the University of Akron in Akron, Ohio. It mentions that the program aims to develop and create teachers who are internationally minded and can give opportunities to students in terms of English proficiency, competitiveness and culturally sensitiveness. It states that the social science teachers are enriched by the program through the help of various teachers with different cultures around the world. It adds that the global education should be prioritize in order to prepare students to face their responsibility to effectively solve the global complexity.
