- Abstract
This article discusses the challenges faced in the anesthetic management of a pediatric patient with a glottic web, a rare condition that causes airway obstruction in children. The patient presented with symptoms of cough and noisy breathing, and a CT scan revealed narrowing in the subglottic area. The plan for airway management involved maintaining spontaneous breathing with anesthesia and attempting to secure the airway using various techniques. Ultimately, a tracheostomy was performed followed by surgical excision of the web. The article emphasizes the importance of proper planning and maintaining the appropriate depth of anesthesia in managing such cases.
