- Abstract
In this article the author comments on the delayed justice system of India. It is mentioned that there are more than 36.5 lakhs cases pending in the High Courts and more than 2.48 crores cases pending in the subordinate courts. The author emphasizes on introducing the concept of alternative dispute resolution, which means arbitration and conciliation in our criminal justice system. The author also looks at the Arrears committee, popularly known as the Malimath Committee, constituted.
