- Abstract
In literature history, Leyla and Majnun mathnawis, that are presented under the title of love stories with double protagonists, are of love and adventure. In these mathnawis, the orientation of the protagonist from humanly love to divine love are handled thematically. In Fuzuli's work, love theme handled in terms of Leyla and Majnun has been moved into sufism with a certain consciousness. In the work, it is easy to trace sufism. While speaking of the reasons why Fuzuli wrote the work,he said his main purpose to write the story was not to say a legend but to mention what these two immemorial lovers experienced in the way of divine love. In this article, in general reflected to Leyla and Majnun mathnawis, especially Fuzûlî's understanding of all dimensions of the love will be evaluated as discussed.
