- Abstract
The article discusses the metaphysical concept of counterpart theory (CT) by David Lewis for interpreting quantified modal logic with the contingent theory embedded in it. Topics include incompatibility with identity transitivity undermining the semantics, several CT counterparts including metaphysical component providing account of the nature of relations, and a semantic component concerned with modality connection. Other topics include several translation schemes and issues with actuality.
