- Title
Compensation and Wrongful Life: A Positive Economic Perspective.
- Authors
Harrant, Valérie; Vaillant, Nicolas
- Abstract
The article focuses on how a compensation may be conceived in the case of wrongful life actions. It cites an example of a case of the handicap French Nicolas Perruche who won a compensation but endured a life with disabilities. The argument on this case states that it is illogical to say that parents should be entitled to attain the cost associated with caring for the disabled child. Hence, it is suggested that in compensating the parents, one must accept the idea of disregarding the life.
