- Title
Au Revoir, Noblesse Oblige.
- Authors
Lehmann, Chris
- Abstract
The article presents the author's insights on the vanishing shade of noblesse oblige in the U.S. in a neo-aristocratic period. He notes the increasing public protest against the country's investing elite who neglects the republic's social methology to carry out a sense of duty to turn their enormous holdings toward the service of the greater good. Also, he believes that the notion of reciprocal obligations will be irrelevant when all the public institutions tilt in a single, plutocratic system.
