The article offers information on the decision of the U.S. Supreme Court case Los Angeles County Flood Control District v. Natural Resources Defense Council, Inc. regarding the discharge of pollutants Clean Water Act (CWA). It informs that the plaintiff filed an action against defendant for violation of its National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permit. It mentions that the Supreme Court recognized the unitary waters theory and finds that insufficient proof regarding discharge of pollutants and therefore, certiorari was not granted.
