- Abstract
The article offers information on the judicial decision of the Fourth Judicial Department of the Appellate Division of the New York Supreme Court in the case People v. Gavenda, in which the Court addressed the issues of vehicular checkpoint stops made by law enforcement. It analyzes the defendant Donald Gavenda's conviction of unreasonable searches and seizures violating the Fourth Amendment of the U.S. Constitution against his arrest under Vehicle and Traffic Law.
