- Abstract
The article examines the principal characteristics happen from French modernity between the wars and aesthetic of reception in France. One is the complex nature of the establishment of the modern architect's social project that also contributed by engineers, politicians and theoreticians. The second characteristic is the great French heroes of modernity did not communicate easily with the media because the energy that several architects such as Le Corbusier made his own communication system through periodicals which was not widely disseminated. Another characteristic is that the modern project showed strong conviction in terms of the symbolic value of historic time.
