Vigilancia de la resistencia a piretroides en poblaciones naturales de Rhodnius prolixus y Triatoma dimidiata (Hemiptera: Reduviidae).

- Abstract
Introducción: La resistencia de los triatominos a insecticidas se ha reportado en gran parte del continente americano, lo que representa una amenaza para el control vectorial. En Colombia, la eliminación de poblaciones domésticas de triatominos está basada en el uso de insecticidas; no obstante, se desconoce el estado de resistencia a estos. Objetivo: Caracterizar el grado de resistencia a insecticidas piretroides en poblaciones naturales de Rhodnius prolixus y Triatoma dimidiata, e identificar posibles mutaciones en el gen del canal de sodio dependiente de voltaje involucradas en la resistencia a estos insecticidas. Materiales y métodos: Se evaluaron poblaciones naturales de R. prolixus (Pore, Casanare) y T. dimidiata (Socotá, Boyacá) mediante bioensayos (OMS), utilizando ninfas de estadio I. La mortalidad con los piretroides permetrina y lambdacialotrina, se evaluó a las 72 horas. Para verificar mutaciones puntuales del gen del canal de sodio, se realizó extracción de ARN, síntesis de ADNc, y amplificación y secuenciación de las subunidades 4 a 6 del dominio 2. Resultados: Los resultados preliminares demostraron que la población de T. dimidiata presenta grados de resistencia (G.R50) de 1,97 y (G.R90) de 3,09 contra el insecticida lambdacialotrina. Mediante PCR, se amplificó un fragmento del gen del canal de sodio, utilizando los cebadores reportados para dicho gen en T. infestans, y se está a la espera de los datos de secuenciación. Conclusión: Los resultados preliminares indican que T. dimidiata presenta algún grado de resistencia a los insecticidas y se espera un resultado similar para la especie R. prolixus.
