- Title
Scotland seeks views on banning wild animals in travelling circuses.
- Abstract
The article reports that the Scottish government is seeking opinion on banning the use of wild animals in travelling circuses as the ministers and the public have serious and on-going concerns over many aspects of the use of wild animals in such circuses. It mentions that the government is seeking views whether the ban on the use of wild animals should be introduced to address ethical concerns. Robin Hargreaves of the British Veterinary Association (BVA) says that they strongly support a ban.
