- Abstract
The article explains the individual's right to serve on a jury free from discrimination embedded in the state and U.S. federal constitutions. Topics discussed include effect of error in jury selection on fairness of trial, identification of the basis of objection when initiating a peremptory strike and to ensure the accuracy of the inquiry and show that a facially-neutral reason is pre-textual, and opportunity for the trial court to correct its error when renewing an overruled objection.
