- Abstract
The article focuses on historiography of ethnic Mexicans in rural Texas and their interethnic relations with the state's Anglo American population. Topics discussed include conscious of their poor social conditions and thus organized within unions, civil rights groups, community organizations, churches, and political parties, Mexican immigrants along with U.S.-born Mexicans from South Texas and anti-Mexican frenzy of the Great Depression in addition to the labor patterns.
