- Abstract
In this paper I discuss the strategies used by Argentinean military forces during last dictatorship in Argentina (1976-1983) to define and reshape the subjectivities of political opponents, pointing out the meanings and experiences associated with the discourses and practices imposed upon their bodies and clothing. Official documents, survivors' stories and archaeological remains of clothing recovered by the Argentinean Forensic Anthropology Team (EAAF) during the exhumation of bodies of "disappeared" people constitute the evidence used to accomplish this goal.
