- Title
Cartesian Coordinate Analysis of the Hominoid Second Lower Deciduous Molar.
- Authors
CORRUCCINI, ROBERT S.
- Abstract
The article presents an experimental comparative Cartesian coordinate analysis of the second lower deciduous molar in hominoids. The landmarks used to define the major features of the molar crown are listed, which include the most mesial location on the mesial marginal ridge, and the most buccal point of the mesial fovea, the lowest location on the distal trigonid crest. A camera lucida is used to record the X and Y coordinates of each of the landmarks by projecting the coronal plane onto grid paper.
