Characterizes the localization of CCR2, a major receptor for monocyte chemoattractant protein-1 MCP-1, in regenerating muscle and compares cellular and molecular characteristics of skeletal muscle regeneration in CCR2-deficient versus wild-type mice. CCR2 cellular localization in injured skeletal muscle; Occurrence of prolonged inflammatory response in injured skeletal muscle of CCR2 -/- mice; Time course of functional recovery of injured muscle of CCR2 -/- mice.
