The article reports the impact of prenatal torts and pre-implantation genetic diagnosis (PGD) in medical practice. It provides an overview on the ongoing controversy on the recognition of prenatal tort in establishing prenatal screening techniques and the application of prenatal torts to cases that involve PGD. It notes the court's recognition on a series of prenatal torts allowing parents and children to pursue claim against their medical providers for damages from an unwanted birth.
