- Abstract
The article presents information on the citizenship and the immigration policy of the U.S. and the recent controversies related to it. The Citizenship clauses which offer birthright citizenship for the children of undocumented immigrants, its revision and the U.S. Fourteenth Amendment rights are discussed. The common law doctrine, citizenship provision of the Civil Rights Act of 1866 and the U.S. jurisdiction and sovereign power is also discussed.
