- Title
The Adolescence of Critical Management Studies?
- Authors
Phillips, Nelson
- Abstract
The article discusses the author's view on the struggle of Critical Management Studies (CMS) to have an independent identity. The author includes the discussion on the article "For Management," by S. Clegg, M. Kornberger, C. Carter and C. Rhodes, on a new perspective on what CMS is and how it might contribute to management studies. He mentions that the article is inspiring because it raises possibilities for engagement that can make a change in CMS that avoids the complacency with academic responsibility. He emphasizes that the future contribution to management theory and practice depends on the ability to engage in an inclusive discourse and community of practice.
