- Abstract
The article looks at developments and measures in management of the Zika virus infection among pregnant women. Topics discussed include the role of Aedes mosquito species in spreading the Zika virus, as the mosquitoes have been known for transmitting dengue fever and chikungunya, recommended measures in handling Zika virus outbreaks like mosquito bed nets and Environmental Protection Agency-approved repellents, and the role of the virus towards fetal anomalies.
