- Abstract
It remains a significant issue to globally stabilise structure‐complicated non‐linear systems. For a class of non‐strict feedforward non‐linear systems – the chain of integrators subject to a vector field that is homogeneous of at least order one, the authors construct a class of new state‐dependent saturation levels for achieving global stabilisation. However, the authors provide the second class of saturation level functions for the case where the perturbed vector field is in a strict upper‐triangular form but does not satisfy the usual growth condition. Examples including the frictionless ball‐and‐beam model are analysed to illustrate the algorithms.
