- Abstract
For two kinds of common materials for aviation bearings ( 8Cr4Mo4V high temperature bearing steel and G13Cr4Mo4Ni4V high temperature carburizing bearing steel), the effects of surface treatment technologies such as ion implantation, shot peening, ion nitriding and titanium nitride coating on hardness and stress levels of bearings made of two kinds of steels are studied. The results show that: the selection of appropriate surface treatment technology can improve the hardness and residual stress state of strengthened position of the bearings, and then improve the wear resistance and contact fatigue performance of the bearings, so as to meet the requirements of long life and high reliability of aviation engine under increasingly harsh working conditions.
