- Abstract
The article discusses the obstacles encountered by the selected 12 men who constituted the first Quorum of Twelve Apostles that would try their faith and make them reconsider their blind obedience to Joseph Smith. Topics discussed include the faith placed by the Latter Day Saints in their anti-bank, Joseph Smith's instruction for the apostles to leave the U.S. and cross the Atlantic Ocean and the establishment of the Church of Christ by the dissenters.
