- Title
3Com eyes expansion from new 'home market' in China.
- Authors
Fletcher, Owen
- Abstract
The article reveals that network equipment vendor 3Com Corporation has successfully built a low-cost operations base in China after it lost its Western markets in the past. In 2003, the company was able to penetrate the market in China when it entered into a joint venture with Chinese counterpart Huawei Technologies. 3Com's total revenues in 2008 came from China and controls 35% of China's networking products which is just about the same level as that of Cisco Systems.
