- Abstract
The article presents legal developments in marketing with particular focus on the regulation of product characteristics. One of the developments describes a case in which Renault U.S.A. Inc. must notify its customers that it improperly restricted the implied warranty on the drive train of their cars. The U.S. Federal Trade Commission has also decided that Madison Mobile-Modular Homes Inc. must notify several thousand buyers that they will have added warranty protection after complaints that it improperly stated that the buyers had to return a registration card to be entitled to warranty protection.
