- Abstract
The article discusses the role of marketing in production management and the overall economy. Several suggestions for improving the role of marketing and more accurately gauging market potential are provided. Inflationary factors, lower distribution costs, competition among sellers, the dangers of nationalized industries, the merits of raising the standard of living and the dangers of overselling to consumers are discussed. The benefits of increasing purchasing power and lowering economic waste are presented.
