- Abstract
The article discusses the role of government in marketing at the time of publication. According to the author, the most prominent trend of 1941 was the movement toward a government planned economy. The author notes that the United States Office of Price Administration is implementing price policy on products such as machine tools and combed cotton yarn. Also noted are increases in income and excise taxes implemented by the U.S. Federal Reserve in order to reduce consumer purchasing power and avoid inflation.
