The article reports on the firm, location and direction in novelist George MacDonald's fantasies. These include "Lilith", "The Princess and the Goblin" and "Phantastes." It also notes the explanation of MacDonald on writing the novel "The Fantastic Imagination" which is intended for childlike readers as well as the admonition of fellow author J. R. R. Tolkien on separating the world into good and bad senses.
