- Title
Assessing CBI with TMS-EEG.
- Authors
Ugawa, Yoshikazu; Manto, Mario
- Abstract
Using bifocal TMS-EEG, the authors found that conditioning stimulation over cerebellum suppressed the amplitude of early peaks within the M1 TMS evoked EEG potentials (TEPs). The massive reciprocal interconnections between the cerebellum and cerebral cortex link sensorimotor, associative, and limbic regions of the cerebral cortex with the cerebellum in a topographically precise manner via segregated channels [[2]]. Cerebellar cortex exerts a strong inhibitory effect upon cerebellar nuclei, the sole output of the cerebellar circuitry [[1]].
