- Abstract
In this article, the author reflects on inequality in the 21st century with specific focus on the decline in the significance of discrimination and the increase in the significance of human capital. Topics discussed include difference in the performance of racial groups in the U.S., use of the National Longitudinal Survey of Youth to conduct a study to explore the reasons for social inequality in the U.S. and the nonprofit organisation Harlem Children's Zone.
