- Title
CURA DELLA NATURA PER UN VERO PROGRESSO.
- Authors
Rossetti, Carlo Lorenzo
- Abstract
From the point of view of the "magisterium", Pope Francis' Laudato si' helps in focusing the dogmatic datum of creation as has no other encyclical before it. After a short outline about the global goal of the document, this article interprets the encyclical by stressing the importance and connection within it of three concepts: nature - progress - ecological conversion. Since the main thesis of the encyclical is that true progress and genuine care for nature presuppose a moral and spiritual conversion, it is easily understandable that Laudato si' intentionally avoids ending up as a fragmented discourse, preferring instead to integrate theology, social and moral teaching and even spirituality.
