- Title
Future Steps: Housing a Mature Society.
- Authors
DeShane, Michael
- Abstract
The article focuses on the future prospects of developing specialized housing for a mature society in the U.S. There is a growing demand for specialized housing due to the expanding population. The author believed that the future housing choices will have little to do with individual needs or preferences. Significantly, those without enough money, or those who wait until their ability to act independently as compromised, are likely to face more limited circumstances. On the other hand, when there is not enough money and a defined need for services exists, the choices can be more draconian.
