- Title
"The Courage to See It": Toward an Understanding of Glory.
- Authors
Holberg, Jennifer L.
- Abstract
This article discusses the understanding of glory in the novels written by novelist Marilynne Robinson. It states that Robinson's theology and essays were influenced by the teachings of Swiss theologian John Calvin manifesting the use of signature of the divine with infinite distance between God and humankind. In addition, Robinson has integrated the concept of glory in his narrative including the character and place names with Christian context in person and theological abstraction.
