- Title
"If Any Fire Endures Beyond Its Flame": An Interview with Dana Gioia.
- Authors
Snyder, Robert Lance
- Abstract
Presents an interview with poet Dana Gioia. On poet Wallace Steven's concept about God and the imagination, he says that Stevens saw the imagination as both a creative and cognitive force but did not perceive human mind as a substitute for God. On the features of modern poetry and arts, he says that contemporary arts are not opposing vulgarity and triviality as much as they should. On Christian poets in the U.S., he says that Richard Wilbur is the best Christian poet there.
