- Title
A Word About Learning Partnerships.
- Authors
Magolda, Marcia Baxter
- Abstract
The article focuses on the author's experiences regarding learning partnerships at the college teaching level and the corresponding relationships with graduate students. This relationship is characterized by acknowledging the complexity of intellectual pursuits, how central identities are to learning and the important role relationships play in the ability to explore multiple perspectives. The author has viewed learning as a partnership between the educator and the learner. Intentional learning is far more complex than knowledge and skill acquisition and application.
