- Abstract
During the Modern Age Europe consolidated a broad tradition in the development of scale models of architecture, cities and territories with military purposes. They were used as a complement to the cartographic documentation developed. This article discovers two singular scale models of Acapulco Bay and its fortress, works of the military engineer Josef González during the reign of Carlos III. Also, some of the possible causes and motivations that led to its manufacture are clarified.
