- Abstract
The article focuses on the use of computed tomography (CT) in equine veterinary care. It states that CT is a digital imaging acquisition method whereby an x-ray generating tube is attached to a circular gentry over the rows of x-ray detectors. It mentions that CT is the most useful imaging modality for the equine skull and is used in the diagnosis of sinus and dental diseases of horses. It adds that CT may also provide useful information for formulating a prognosis.
