- Title
FROM RIPE TO ROTTEN: AN EXAMINATION OF THE CONTINUED UTILITY OF THE RIPENESS DOCTRINE IN LIGHT OF THE MODERN STANDING DOCTRINE.
- Authors
DelGaudio, Michael Aaron
- Abstract
The article discusses whether America's ripeness legal doctrine serves a useful purpose in light of the nation's legal standing (locus standi) doctrine, and it mentions what the author refers to as the U.S. Supreme Court's preference for utilizing locus standi to assess justiciability. According to the article, locus standi and ripeness arise out of Article III of the U.S. Constitution. Judicial power and American constitutional law are examined, along with a legal right model of standing.
