- Authors
Greenberg, Robert
- Abstract
The author explores the demise of the Serbo-Croatian language following the disintegration of Yugoslavia in the 1990s. Topics discussed include the analysis of the sociolinguistic situation in the region by linguist Kenneth E. Naylor, Jr. in 1992, the creation of separate languages such as Bosnian, Serbian, Montenegrin, and Croatian, and the census data which revealed the observed disconnect between these successor languages.
