- Abstract
The article discusses the move of China's government to reshape its energy system, building on recent progress with renewables and on available supplies of gas, as a response to the air pollution crisis. It mentions that the country accounted two-thirds in the global carbon dioxide emissions from energy use, and its air pollution became a major economic and social issue.
