- Abstract
The article discusses the relationship between Balkan nominal possessive clitics and clausal clitics expressing possession, contending that the two are not always morphologically analogous. The author explores a number of Balkan Slavic languages including Macedonian, Bulgarian, and Serbian/Croatian/Bosnian, as well as Balkan Romance languages including Modern Greek, Romanian, and Albanian. Other topics mentioned include dative and genitive clitics, beneficiary clitics, and verbs expressing involuntary states.
