- Abstract
The article focuses on the problem of juvenile false confessions and exculpatory DNA evidence in the criminal justice system of Cook County, Illinois. It notes the acceptance of former First Assistant Cook County State's Attorney Bob Milan to the reality of false confessions and wrongful convictions. The cases of the Dixmoor Five and Englewood Four, where post-conviction DNA results proved that nine convicted teenagers were innocent of crimes from the early 1990s are also discussed.
