A reprint of the article "Ten Things Every Juvenile Court Judge Should Know About Trauma and Delinquency," by Kristine Buffington, Carly B. Dierkhising and Shawn C. Marsh, that was published in 2010 as a Technical Assistance Bulletin by the National Council of Juvenile and Family Court Judges, is presented. It discusses 10 key areas that judges need to be familiar with in order to best assist traumatized youth entering the juvenile justice system. One of which is that traumatic stress in children can lead to post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
