The article discusses the mission of the Department of Cell and Molecular Biology (CMB) and the CMB Graduate Program at the John A. Burns School of Medicine. It relates that department aims to provide an outstanding environment for excellence in research and education in cell and molecular biology and related biomedical disciplines. Some of the topics of the research projects of the department include Alzheimer's disease, mutations implicated in Parkinson's disease and cardiovascular disease.
