- Abstract
The article offers information on a 2-month-old Caucasian female diagnosed with congenital hypothyroidism. The patient was admitted to the pediatric intensive care unit (PICU) where she was started on intravenous antibiotics and frequent albumin infusion along with intravenous furosemide. Congenital nephrotic syndrome (CNS) is diagnosed between 3 months and 1 year and is commonly seen in Finland. Children with CNS acquiring an infection are immediately treated with antibiotics that covers gram-negative and positive organisms.
