- Abstract
Taking into account a large variety of views, the study deals with the e-reading and the p-reading and is based on three ways of examinations: (1) on statistical data coming from reading surveys, carried out by the National Library of the Czech republic and the Institute of Czech Literature - the Czech Academy of Sciences, (2) on oral history materials gathered between 2009 and 2019, and (3) on experimental measurements coming from some international surveys. Thus, what we have to deal with are three points of view, to some extent autonomous, but also creating a complex look at the phenomenon ot the e-reading, its nature and place within contemporary culture. What follows from these three perspectives is the fact that digitality and reading are no enemies. The relationship between them is much more complex. The main advantage of this approach is that it shows how these individual perspectives complement each other.
