- Title
Lessons to Be Learned From the UK Junior Doctors' Strike.
- Authors
Goddard, Andrew F.
- Abstract
The author conveys his views on the dispute between Great Britain and the medical profession's trade union British Medical Association over contracts for junior doctors and physicians who have completed specialist training. Topics covered include weekend staffing levels in local hospitals, an increase in the number of junior doctors in Great Britain from 1999 to 2016, and a decrease in junior doctor working hours from the 1990s to the 2010s after contract changes and European Union legislation.
