- Authors

- Abstract
In this article the authors examine the sharing of health care costs as a method of cost control. The authors note that this strategy is particularly valuable among the low income section of the U.S. population. The authors seek to understand the elasticity of health care demand by focusing on the low income population of the state of Massachusetts. It was found that the study produced results similar to the findings contained in the RAND Health Insurance Experiment, research conducted thirty years before.
